The name ῥοῦς (Rous) encapsulates the concept of the restaurant. It is written in ancient Greek which translates to modern Greek as “flow”, “current”. The name reflects the owners’ aim to delineate the origins of their dishes, influenced by the flow of conquerors of Cyprus, who left in their passing their mark on our cooking traditions.
The degustation menu: creative dishes, each of them inspired by Cyprus history (from the Stone Age to the present day)
Our “A La Carte menu”: pick the dishes you fancy the most, all dishes are based on (or inspired by) our degustation menu
The Chef’s table experience: for the first time in Nicosia, sit at the chef’s table and be served by our own executive chef Andreas Yiangoullas who will explain in detail each of the dishes.
Rous Restaurant, the fine dining restaurant “a la Chypriote”, the hidden gem located off Kyriakou Matsi avenue, is starting a new collaboration and is launching its brand new spring menus […]
Pleasant and romantic atmosphere with a very good service. The food is tasty and well prepared with superb plating in nearly all dishes. I would suggest that you visit the place to experience the "full chapter". Attention to some details (i.e. music at the background, full explanation of each plate) can provide excellence to this restaurant.

Had the vegetarian menu which was 10/10. The wine pairings were also top notch, of which we had the more expensive package. Service was phenomenal and no qualms about anything. Worth the visit. Atmosphere was relaxed, yet classy and chill.

Rous is the place to go to if you're looking for a unique fine dining experience, with a Michelin star level food made by probably Cyprus most promising chef, such a talent! We were lucky to enjoy the Christmas special 6-courses menu and we accompanied it by matching wines recommended by one of the best sommeliers on the island. It's not your classic daily greek restaurant, it's the one to experience, if you wanna treat yourself and your tongue!

Wow, fine dining at its best! What an experience, everything was top notch. Chilled atmosphere, beautiful table setting, very attentive and friendly service, food on a very high level, so tasty, fresh, creative and beautifully arranged, little masterpieces, the sommelier and the wine pairing - beyond amazing. If you are looking for a special night out: this is the place!

Food was good except for my main dish which was served on a chipped off plate. When asked, the waitress said their special ceramic plates were hand made. And they don't throw them out. Nevertheless, even in my home, I don't serve any of my guest on a broken plate. The answer the restaurant gave me is unacceptable. They could have used their old plate for cooking but not for service. It doesn't go with the chic ambience of the restaurant and the type of gourmet food they are serving. Sorry.
