I’ve got some delicious news to share with you – square Italian sandwiches have landed in Cyprus! Have you heard of Crusta? Well, it was quite the unique sandwich experience for Cyprus to me, and I want to share it with you

I think I might have discovered probably one of the best sandwich I have tried in recent years. Now, I don’t say this lightly, but I genuinely feel you have to try it. Let me break it down for you.

It all starts with the bread. Crusta’s focaccia has this amazing crust that delivers a satisfying crunch with each bite, but here’s the kicker – it’s never hard to eat. It balances that delightful crunchiness with a soft and fluffy interior, making each bite a joy. The size? Oh, it’s huge! You might find it challenging to finish the whole thing alone, so sharing is definitely an option. We got various to try, and ended up having for dinner and the next morning

Now, let’s talk about the flavor profile. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully balanced, a harmony of delicious elements. The focaccias, for instance, are baked to order, sprinkled with parmesan cheese, and seasoned with Italian spices before they’re baked. It results in a freshness that you can taste.

The sandwiches are brought to life with a homemade almond pesto, prepared with fresh basil, and the mozzarella is as fresh as it gets – they turn the mozzarella balls into a Burrata-like spread. The pork chop and chicken? Marinated and juicy to the core. Honestly, it’s hard not to fall in love with these guys.

What I found appealing is that even the packaging was practical and yet had an aesthetic appeal to it. Plus, the service was quick, efficient, and the delivery, well you can find them on all major platforms

Oh, and for those of you who like a good cup of coffee to go along with your morning bite, Crusta serves up great Italian coffee that pairs seamlessly with their sandwiches. It was indeed a very different sandwich experience, but in the best possible way.

In conclusion, Crusta is not your average sandwich place. It’s a tiny slice of Italy delivered to your doorstep here in Cyprus. So, my advice? Don’t walk, run to try Crusta – the sandwich experience you didn’t know you needed!
