Rous Restaurant, the fine dining restaurant “a la Chypriote”, the hidden gem located off Kyriakou Matsi avenue, is starting a new collaboration and is launching its brand new spring menus following the Easter break on the 19th of April.
The owners and creative forces behind the unique concept of Rous, Costas Constantinou, Andreas Kyprianou and Andreas Georgiou, are always pushing their boundaries in their quest for excellence. In their words: ’Our goal is to be the benchmark of fine dining cuisine based on local, fresh and seasonal products that reflect our island and our rich heritage’
Recently, Rous was awarded the “Top Notch” award by Chrysoi Skoufoi of Athens, and ranked number 4 among the best restaurants on the island (the top spot for a local restaurant on the list) by WiZGuide.
Rous, has also received the Quality Label “Taste Cyprus/ Delightful Journeys” by showcasing the best Cypriot produce and the best Cypriot talents. ‘Our doors are always open for local suppliers and people that share our vision for the future of local cuisine and establishing Rous as the ultimate culinary incubator for next-gen food concepts’
The next chapter at Rous, starts with two talented Cypriot chefs: Jack Yiannakou, Executive Chef of Bistrot 55 in Limassol, former Head Chef at The Cove (Glen Cove) in New York and Miltos Miltiadous with past experience at ‘Core’ by Clare Smith, the 3-star Michelin restaurant in London, and Chef of the Year 2023 at the 12th International Culinary Competition of Southern Europe (Thessaloniki, Greece).
Jack has designed the new menus, while Miltos is the one bringing them to life, with the help of the rest of the Vino Hospitality Group culinary team. Worth noting is the fact that throughout the menus, you will find clear references from local and seasonal products and a pure Mediterranean character.
Andreas Kyprianou and László Kovács, the dynamic sommelier duet of the group, have designed the island’s most exciting wine program with several wine pairings available for the restaurant’s tasting menus.
The new menu offers ‘a La Carte’ menus as well as three Degustation (‘tasting’) menus. The ‘Classic Story’, the ‘Pescatarian Story’ and the ‘Vegetarian (or Vegan) Story. The restaurant is now opening the Garden Dining area weather permitting.
